Nickie & Rob Surprise Engagement - Pensacola Beach Florida

The story: Nickie is an ICU nurse who flew down from Kansas to meet her boyfriend Rob for a romantic Valentine's Day weekend. Rob is in the Navy and is temporarily stationed at Pensacola NAS. They thought it might be fun to have a couples photo shoot while she was in town. Much to Nickie's surprise - the evening ended in this man down on his knees with a diamond ring asking for her hand in marriage. She said YES!!!! The foggy backdrop of Ft Pickens was an added bonus - talk about a fairytale setting straight our of a story book! Senior Girl Sydney - Gulf Breeze High School - Class of 2019

What can I say - I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING SENIORS!!!! It takes me right back to my youth and reminds me how fast life can zoom by. Sydney is graduating Gulf Breeze High School soon and will be attending UWF with plans to become a nurse practitioner. This girl is as funny and sweet as she is beautiful! I went to GBHS with her dad and I know that his heart is in agony as his one precious baby is preparing to leave the nest. She has assured him that she will visit often - famous last words lol!!! I recall saying the same thing to my parents as I headed off to school so many years ago. No matter where life takes us - it is the journey that is the greatest adventure. These two, oh my gosh the cuteness! When I first spoke with Allison she said "the photo shoot must be fun or my husband will not participate", so guess what - we had fun! Kyle is a self proclaimed adrenaline junky - as evidenced by all of his wild adventures in the military. EOD training is next on his list ... he pretty much has seen and done it all up until now. Allison is as sweet as can be, and might I suggest - an amazing model! They had the best time playing in the waves and just goofing off. I do believe I had just as much watching them as they did actually living the experience! I am so glad to have met these love birds - seven years of marriage and just as enamored with one another as the day they first met.

Robin Robin Robin - what can I say - mom and dad you are very lucky parents! This highly independent senior girl did her own online research, booked her photo shoot, maintained all communications and chose her own outfits all by herself. This may be the norm for many young ladies these days - but she also coordinated it all from Pittsburg prior to her vacation! Robin is as gorgeous as she is brilliant and has plans to attend University in her home town with a major planned in bio medical engineering! I really can't say enough about her - I know she is going to be an absolute success in this life! Congratulations Robin - Class of 2019!

It is such an honor when a professional photographer selects you to capture their once in a life time moments. For Brandy, this moment was photographing her lovely daughter McCall's senior portraits on Pensacola Beach during their recent vacation. The weather was divine and the subject matter perfection. Mom, being a photographer, had taught her daughter how to pose over a life time! I will admit, this shoot was a piece of cake and entirely too much fun! We laughed, explored, talked about the history of Pensacola and the future goals of this sweet young lady. I adore senior portraits! The energy these young people can harness is absolutely amazing as well as contagious! I couldn't help but be reminded of my 18 year old self (it's been a while)! Three weeks and counting for this mother to be. Brooke and Conley are the sweetest couple ever. The photoshoot was a last minute decision for Brooke and she is so glad she decided to make time to head out to the beach! The day began dark, cloudy, misty and COLD, but by the time sunset arrived - the stars aligned just right. Perfection! We had such fun making these memories that truthfully only have a once in a lifetime chance of being captured by the camera. It won't be long now before baby will be front and center in the picture! I have known this sweet family for more than a decade and was thrilled when asked to photograph them. What a beautiful evening too... not too hot, not too cold - just right. I just love watching the family interaction and the looks exchanged between husband and wife, and especially between siblings! And that hair! I just love red heads!!! Thank you dad for the genetics! Oh my my my... what happens when a two year old lays eyes on one of the most spectacular playgrounds in the area just moments before a photo shoot... use your imagination! Sweet little Reid had only swinging and sliding on his mind, rightfully so! Just before the sun went down on this session, he spotted a few skateboarders in the distance and decided to go for a discover walk. Much to his parents delight, he was all smiles from then on! Whew... everything came together just in the knick of time! And after all was said and done.... play time commenced.

Dressing up little girls and letting them play "model" for a night on the beach is always my idea of fun! These little beauties loved every minute of it, especially when allowed to do their own thing. Josie and Teddy belong to my life long friend artist Reese Foret Verschueren. The blondie is my baby girl Lauren. These girls have known each other all of their lives and have such a fun time together. As usual, Pensacola Beach delivered a stunning sunset, bathing these precious subjects in a soft warm blanket of light. Such a great way to spend an evening! Enjoy!

Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been quite a soggy summer here on the Florida Gulf Coast! Thankfully my lovely subject did not deliver her precious bundle before the clouds parted and the sun finally made an appearance! Kate is such a beautiful soul! She is a loving wife and mother and this clearly shows in her photos. How lucky these babies are to call this one mommy! That red hair, those pale blue green eyes, and a personality to adore!
